After confirming the spotting with at least two of her
Twitter followers and calling her building's security, she directed a message
straight at Hilton. "STAY AWAY FROM ME + MY FAMILY YOU ARE SICK TRYING TO
RENT AN APARTMENT IN MY BUILDING TO STALK ME," she wrote. "LEAVE ME
ALONE!!!"
Gaga then revealed she has copy of "every psychotic text" she allegedly
has received from the blogger. "Still have the text Perez sent me of me in
a wheelchair w the words KARMA written across + Madonna pointing a gun at
me," she wrote. "Day of my accident."
Hilton responded in light speed, accusing the singer of
trying to gin up publicity for her album (and retweeting death threats sent by
her fans). "Not only were you #cruel to people who worked for you, friends
of mine, but you also purposefully tried to sabotage other artists," he
shot back.
Hilton then released a blog post titled, "A Statement
on Lady Gaga's Lies."
In it, he says he was not stalking the pop star, and was
simply house hunting with his mother and child as he relocates from Los Angeles
to New York.
"I learned only after the fact that Lady GaGa lives in
one of the buildings we looked at, and she was across the country in Los
Angeles when I viewed that building," he wrote. He added, "I hope her
fans stop sending me death threats, as the suggestion that I pose a danger to
Lady GaGa is preposterous."
Will the 140-character-or-less feud continue? Time will
tell.
